Tourist Visa
A 30 (thirty) days Visa Free for a Short Visit is currently granted at any Immigration Check Point for citizens from the following countries.
- Thailand
- Malaysia
- Singapore
- Brunei Darussalam
- Philippines
- Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong SAR)
- Macao Special Administrative Region (Macao SAR)
- Chile
- Morocco
- Peru
- Vietnam
This type of visa cannot be extended, transferred or converted to any other kind of visa; nor can it be used as a working permit. Entry and departure can be through any immigration check point in Indonesia
To visit Indonesia, citizens from the following countries are requested to obtain visa on arrival which is available at certain immigration check points in Indonesia. The length of stay with visa on arrival maximum 30 days.

Entry and departure must be through one of the following immigration check points :
- Airports : Polonia (Medan), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Tabing (Padang), Soekarno-Hatta (Jakarta), Juanda (Surabaya), Ngurah Rai (Bali), Sam Ratulangi (Manado).
- Seaports: Sekupang, Batu Ampar, Nongsa, Marina Teluk Senimba (Batam), Bandar Bintan Telani Lagoi, Bandar Sri Udana Lobam (Tanjung Uban), Belawan (Belawan), Sibolga (Sibolga), Yos Sudarso (Dumai), Teluk Bayur (Padang), Tanjung Priok (Jakarta), Padang Bai (Bali), Jayapura (Jayapura).
Citizens from other countries that are not mentioned in the above list and wish to visit Indonesia are required to obtain a visa. There are two types of visa according to the length of stay in Indonesia.
REQUIREMENTS - VISA FOR UP TO 30 DAYS
- One application form with 1 (one) recent passport size photograph.
- A passport valid for 6 (six) months beyond the intended length of stay and two blank pages.
- A copy of a return air ticket/ship ticket to/from Indonesia or reservation of the flight.
REQUIREMENTS - VISA FOR UP TO 60 DAYS
- One application form with 1 (one) recent passport size photograph.
- A passport valid for 6 (six) months beyond the intended length of stay.
- A proof of expenses (a bank statement prooving that one has at least 2.500 USD/or equivalent in another currency to cover the expenses of the journey)
- Itinerary.
- A return air ticket/ship ticket to/from Indonesia.
