Registration

I. Important Notices

(1)Requirement of Membership of EASTS for Your Presentation Those who want to present your paper(s) in the Conference should have an EASTS Regular Member ID. Any paper submitted without the ID cannot be presented nor included in the Proceedings. If you are a non-Regular Member ID holder currently, you are requested to apply for membership to one of the Domestic Societies you (will) belong to by 18 June 2009 at the latest. (2) Financial Support EASTS provides financial support (conference registration, airfare and accommodation fees) only for the EASTS regular members, who present Academic Papers or Practical Papers with the excellent review results and belong to the following EASTS member countries/regions/societies which meet the criteria for EASTS fund beneficiaries: Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Mongolia.

(3) New Journal Publication A new journal, Asian Transport Studies, will be established in addition to the existing Journal of the EASTS. Asian Transport Studies is expected to promote the characteristics of EASTS and will be highly evaluated around the world. The papers in Asian Transport Studies will be selected from the submitted Academic Papers or Practical Papers that satisfy the following conditions: ・Papers evaluated as being of a high quality that deal with Asia-specific topics or case studies in Asia; or ・Papers evaluated as being of an outstanding quality although they do not deal with Asia-specific topics or case studies in Asia.

II. Paper Submission

ISC has introduced a fully computerized paper review procedure including paper submission, communication between reviewers and sending suggestions for amendments to authors. Both MS-Word files and PDF files should be submitted to avoid file conversion problems.
